from Avoid Disaster:
Like the hollow place above her mother’s collarbone,
a cave, a recess to hide, just like that inside this loaf
of bread. It’s cut and no one says it, but she sees her own grave.
Taking that most empty place of the bread, she fills it with
sour cherries. She seals the plot with a sticky, burgundy body
until she forgets that this is where she must stay.
