In 1973 she began writing for the Christian and Inspirational field and for forty years her\u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003ework appeared in numerous magazines in that field. Her short stories have won three Catholic Press Awards, and one of those stories, \u003cb\u003eA Seat by the Window\u003c\/b\u003e, was turned into a radio play which in 2015 won a Wisconsin Public Radio award for Best Community Impact Production.
