Shelley teaches writing at Southern CT State University and writes fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. She has published four novels and her short work has appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies. She has won awards from The North American Review, New Millenium Sunshots, Writer's Digest, and WOW: Women on Writing. She has just finished her first full-length memoir, Girls! Girls! Girls!
