An indie press and design studio based in Chicago, DANCING GIRL PRESS & STUDIO offers a wide variety of open and limited edition books, art, and paper goods; as well as gifts and accessories inspired by vintage design and ephemera. The shop features original & collaborative projects, assorted miscellany,  and is home to the DANCING GIRL PRESS CHAPBOOK SERIES, an imprint devoted to publishing innovative writing by women authors in delectable handmade editions. 

Founded in 2004 by writer & book artist Kristy Bowen, the chapbook series has published hundreds of titles that explore the boundaries of form and hybridity in contemporary poetry and prose. The press especially seeks to issue work that enfolds and engages visual arts, found materials, creative retellings, pop culture, history (both personal and social), stylistic innovation, and feminist themes.
