Vanessa Raney is an American living in Croatia. She has studied Croatian at the Croaticum program of the University of Zagreb, and with private tutors in Zagreb, Rijeka, Pula and Varaždin. 2015 saw the publication of two of her bilingual animated GIFs in *Poetry Invitational* and *S/tick*.
