from BLUE IN ALL THINGS | a ghost story :
ix.
Pay a man to carry your teeth to Canada, to slaughter a cow and boil its tongue
until it falls apart on a china plate Tins of cloves line the kitchen wall, little numbing buds the color of rust. The cows were ferried from a mainland
on wooden boats, fenced in pastures counted off with wooden fences.
You poured yourself so far into a boat you called it a girl.
