Melanie Doyle is a mother and educator from Newfoundland & Labrador. She teaches academic writing at Memorial University where she is also completing her PhD. Her research has been published in Discourse and Writing/Rédactologie, Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, and The Peer Review. Her poetry and short fiction have been published by Paragon Press. She lives near the ocean with her partner and their two children, a Brittany spaniel, and two cats (one of whom is lovely). Masked is her first collection of poetry.
