Julie Gonnering Lein earned her Ph.D. in creative writing and literature from the University of Utah, where as a postdoc she helped develop Poemage, an open-access poetry visualization tool. Her poetry and scholarship have appeared in The Antioch Review, Best New Poets 2011, Colorado Review, Phoebe, Modernism/modernity, Western Humanities Review, and elsewhere. She is a recipient of the Larry Levis Memorial Poetry Prize.
