Aimee Mackovic is a poet and professor of English currently living in the northern California mountains after a heart and liver transplant in December of 2019. Her work has appeared in journals such as Main Street Rag, Gravel, Shark Reef, and UCity Review, among many others. Her books include Love Junky (Lit City Press, 2017) and A Sentenced Woman (Finishing Line Press, 2007) She is working on a medical memoir about her transplant journey to be published in 2023.
