Emma Francois is a writer and artist whose journalism, poetry, fiction, and essays—about art, the environment, and love—have appeared in the Washington Post, Citron Review, Inquisitive Eater, Oh Reader, USA Today, and elsewhere. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from American University and currently teaches at George Washington University. A 2024 Finalist for the Chautauqua Janus Prize and a Pushcart Prize nominee, Emma grew up dividing her time between India, Europe, and the States, and now calls Washington, D.C. home.
