S. Whitney Holmes was born and raised in north-central West Virginia. She earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing at the University of Alabama. She lives in Chicago, where she is Co-Editor of Switchback Books and is also an editor for The Offending Adam. Her poems appear in Poetry Northwest, Ninth Letter, and Gulf Coast.
