Wanderer
of hollow hands and waste,
i eliminate all trace
of want.
each talkative tavern
i visit
tears me a new tale.
i’ve met thousands
of everymen and all of them
were eyed with infinite
diamonds.
kaleidoscopes
carve their colors
into my skin. i’m finished
with flatland, with cardboard,
with walls, with doors that won’t open.
the air, cool as silk,
whispered to me
in a dream; it told me
to follow.
