Cynthia Schwartzberg Edlow’s debut poetry collection is The Day Judge Spencer Learned the Power of Metaphor (Salmon Poetry). She is the winner of the 2012 Red Hen Press Poetry Prize. The poem, “Super Dan Comics Question Box Series #18,” was published in The Los Angeles Review. Her poetry has appeared widely, including The American Poetry Review, Cimarron Review, Gulf Coast, American Literary Review, Barrow Street, Folio, Smartish Pace and Galatea Resurrects, with new work in Broad River Review, Georgetown Review, The Tusculum Review, and forthcoming in Tahoma Literary Review. Pushcart Prize-nominated, she is the recipient of a Beullah Rose Poetry Prize, the Red Hen Press Poetry Prize, The Tusculum Review Prize for Poetry and the Willow Review Prize for Poetry. Poems have also been featured in the anthologies Not A Muse (Haven Books), Dogs Singing: A Tribute Anthology (Salmon Poetry) and The Emily Dickinson Awards Anthology (Universities West Press). Her next full-length verse collection is forthcoming in 2016.
