[describe a morning without fear]
What is sustainable
the sound of the rough
deer breath their
stiff exhales
shake the ribs
What is familiar
this rumble
in your chest &
check to see you’re still
bone & ligament
alone
What is offered out
a modulated wave one
ascending your skin
into the cemented dock
What is vulnerable
brine in twilight
O you welcome
this body
undone
to shimmer
